After the resounding success of the 2024 Hanoi Art Light Festival, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam), in collaboration with the Hanoi People’s Committee and sponsoring partners, will present the highly anticipated “Glamour Thang Long” art programme. The event’s centrepiece will be a record-breaking pyro drone show featuring 2,025 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), marking the world’s largest display of its kind and securing a Guinness World Record.
Scheduled for 28 January 2025 (Lunar New Year’s Eve), with a rehearsal on 26 January, the spectacular showcase will take place at My Dinh Square, My Dinh National Stadium. The event will be broadcast live on Hanoi Television, with a special feature on Vietnam Television (VTV)’s New Year’s Eve programme.
A Global-Scale Light and Fireworks Extravaganza
Set to become one of Hanoi’s most significant cultural events in 2025, “Glamour Thang Long” will blend cutting-edge technology with artistic brilliance. The show will feature an awe-inspiring combination of pyro drones and high-altitude fireworks, accompanied by an elaborate artistic programme. With over 1,000,000 spectators expected to attend in person and millions more watching via television and social media, the event will position Hanoi among the world’s premier light festival destinations, alongside Vivid Sydney in Australia and France’s Fête des Lumières.
“Glorious Springs” – A Celebration of Culture and Innovation
Themed “Glorious Springs,” the programme will symbolise renewal, love, family reunions, and national pride. Featuring Vietnam’s top-tier celebrities, the event will merge traditional and modern performances in an interactive musical theatre experience, offering a fresh perspective on Hanoi’s cultural heritage.
Audiences can expect an unprecedented visual spectacle as state-of-the-art South Korean technology orchestrates a mesmerising, safe, and synchronised display of lights and pyrotechnics—marking a new era for entertainment in Vietnam.
Mr Mai Trong Thai, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Nam Tu Liem District, expressed his enthusiasm: “Following the success of the 2024 Hanoi Art Light Festival, we are honoured to lead this year’s event. With our experience in organising world-class spectacles, we are committed to ensuring the safety and success of ‘Glamour Thang Long,’ establishing it as a cherished annual tradition.”
