TCL Launches Exclusive Mr Bean: The Animated Series Channel
A Timeless Comedy Favourite Expands its Reach
Co-created by Rowan Atkinson and Richard Curtis, the original Mr Bean live-action series became an international sensation between 1990 and 1995. Since then, it has continued to captivate audiences with its universal humour and physical comedy. Building on this popularity, Mr Bean: The Animated Series, produced by Tiger Aspect Kids & Family, part of Banijay Kids & Family. first aired in 2002 and has continued the legacy of the Mr Bean franchise.
In January 2024, it was announced that a fourth season of Mr Bean: The Animated Series is in production, following agreements facilitated by Banijay Rights. The forthcoming season will be overseen and voiced by Rowan Atkinson, airing on Cartoonito and HBO Max across the EMEA region, along with Warner Bros. Discovery’s children’s networks in Southeast Asia and South Asia, and on ITVX Kids in the UK and Ireland from 2025.

For instance, the brand recently launched its first YouTuber channel on TV, Dia TV, in Brazil, catering to the growing trend of influencer-led entertainment. Another upcoming addition is the short drama channel, ReelShort, which is set to launch in August, further broadening the content offerings available on the TCL Channel.
