Locus Robotics, a global leader in AI-powered warehouse automation, today celebrated a significant milestone in its journey towards revolutionising supply chain solutions. The company officially opened its new global headquarters, Locus Park, in Wilmington, Massachusetts, while also achieving an industry-first: surpassing four billion units picked across its global customer deployments.
A Milestone Facility for a Rapidly Growing Company
The newly operational Locus Park facility spans 157,000 square feet and serves as the central hub for Locus Robotics’ rapidly growing workforce. With an expansive Research & Development, testing, and engineering space, the facility is designed to support nearly 200 employees from the New England area who will drive the company’s mission to push the boundaries of warehouse automation technology. In addition, the facility will handle all robotics manufacturing, shipping, and administrative functions.
Locus Park is a symbol of our unwavering commitment to innovation and our confidence in shaping the future. It serves as a launchpad for next-generation robotics and AI solutions that will transform warehouse efficiency and empower workforces around the globe. As we stand at the forefront of industrial automation, we’re not just leading the industry but transforming it.
Setting New Benchmarks for Warehouse Automation
Locus Robotics’ new headquarters is a pivotal moment for the company as it continues to accelerate its growth and revolutionise the warehouse automation landscape. The cutting-edge facility will be integral to advancing Locus Robotics’ AI-driven solutions, which are transforming how industries such as third-party logistics, retail, industrial, and healthcare manage supply chains. The launch of Locus Park represents a major leap towards setting new standards for operational efficiency and workforce empowerment within these sectors.
Achieving a Record-Breaking 4 Billion Picks
In addition to the grand opening of its global headquarters, Locus Robotics celebrated another major milestone: exceeding four billion picks. The company reached this achievement just 28 weeks after crossing the three billion picks threshold. This rapid growth highlights the surging global demand for Locus’s automation solutions.
Locus Robotics’ journey to four billion picks underscores its exceptional progress. It took the company nearly seven years from its launch in 2015 to reach its first billion picks. The second billion was reached just 11 months later in August 2023, followed by the third billion in April 2024. This remarkable pace reflects the accelerating adoption of Locus Robotics’ products and services across industries worldwide.
“We’re energised by our unprecedented growth,” Faulk continued. “Surpassing four billion picks in such a short period showcases not only our success but also the increasing adoption of our automation solutions. With every pick, we’re not just moving products – we’re advancing the entire industry.”
Locus Robotics: A Future-Focused Company
With the opening of Locus Park and its milestone achievement, Locus Robotics is well-positioned to continue its leadership in the warehouse automation space. As the demand for AI-powered robotics solutions accelerates, the company is set to provide even more innovative products that will help shape the future of supply chains.
