Keynote Insights on Cloud Migration and AI Integration
Kevin Gao, President of Huawei Cloud Public Cloud Business, delivered a keynote address titled “One Step to Intelligence, One Leap to Excellence.” In his presentation, he outlined three critical factors for accelerating cloud migration and AI adoption: global infrastructure, continuous technological innovation, and lean operations.
- Global Infrastructure: Huawei Cloud’s extensive global infrastructure, known as KooVerse, provides exceptional coverage and quality. Huawei Cloud’s expansive network includes 33 Regions and 93 Availability Zones (AZs) globally, enabling more than 10,000 customers to realise their goals for business globalisation. The platform is interconnected with over 2,400 global carrier peers, ensuring seamless cloud access and deployment for clients. Furthermore, Huawei Cloud data centres achieve Tier IV reliability, ensuring maximum uptime.
- Technological Innovation: Innovation remains at the heart of Huawei Cloud’s mission to facilitate enterprise transformation. At the summit, Gao highlighted three pivotal areas: compute upgrades, data-AI convergence, and application innovation. The Data Center-to-Cloud solution allows customers to seamlessly transfer and manage dedicated computing resources on Huawei Cloud, incorporating intelligent operations and Data Center Network (DCN) services.
- Operational Excellence: Huawei Cloud’s Ascend AI Cloud Service allows for continuous training jobs for up to 40 days, significantly improving fault recovery time to 10 minutes and enhancing linear scalability to 90% compared to the industry averages of 2.8 days, 60 minutes, and 80%, respectively. Their deterministic operations system has been adopted by over 300 global customers, achieving a strong security record with zero intrusions and breaches.
