Getting on two wheels is not only a great way to get fit and healthier, it’s also a fantastic way to explore the local environment.

Getting on your bike can be something you can do on your own, or as part of a group, and you’re never too old to get in the saddle.

Within Newcastle there are a wide range of opportunites, and various levels of support, to help get you started cycling – or maybe cycling more.

    Cycling in the City (CITC) and This Girl Can team up for women only bike rides. These bike rides are between 8-10 miles. at a moderate pace but in a relaxed atmosphere. Chat on with the group or focus on scenic views around Newcastle.

    Enjoy twice weekly social cycling session with Cycling in the City (CITC) Social Bike Rides. These are suitable for people with some experience of cycling and last between 8-12 miles.
