Butcher’s Pet Care Overview
Founded in 1983, BPC is a prominent player in the UK’s wet pet food sector. It offers a diverse range of products under three key brands:
- Butcher’s Dog Food: Affordable, high-quality nourishment for dogs.
- Blink!: Premium natural wet food for cats.
- Classic: An economical, complete cat food option.
In addition, BPC manufactures own-label pet food for various customers, including major retailers and specialist pet shops. It also holds a significant market position in Poland, where it is the #2 dog food brand. BPC operates a state-of-the-art 385,000 sq ft facility in Crick, Northamptonshire.
Leadership Appointment and Strategic Vision
Arthur van Benthem will assume the role of CEO for the newly enlarged group, which will now boast combined gross sales of approximately £350 million. Van Benthem brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles with Unilever, the Coca-Cola Company, Royal FrieslandCampina, Imperial Brands, and Dunlop. He is expected to spearhead IPN’s growth strategy, focusing on expanding the company’s presence in the European pet food market.
