Celebratory Exhibitions: A Decade in Review

Aga Khan Museum:
September 7, 2024 – June 2025
Celebrating the Past, Reimagining the Future. Located in the Rasheed Dhuka and Nooruddin Khawja Family Gallery, this exhibition presents a collection of photographs and video content highlighting the Museum’s decade-long journey. It encourages visitors to reflect on the Museum’s growth and its ongoing role in fostering intercultural understanding.
Light: Visionary Perspectives
March 17, 2025
Paying homage to His Highness the Aga Khan’s vision of light, this immersive exhibition features works by renowned contemporary artists from around the world, each exploring the theme of light in its physical, spiritual, and metaphorical forms.
Moon
September 24, 2024 – March 17, 2025
Returning due to popular demand, Luke Jerram’s illuminated moon installation, which was the highlight of the 2019 exhibition The Moon: A Voyage Through Time, once again takes centre stage. This five-metre-wide replica of the moon is designed to evoke feelings of calm and interconnectedness during challenging times.

EnlighTEN x Global Toronto Music Festival
September 28–29, 2024
In collaboration with Small World Music, the Museum’s largest celebration of the year will feature live performances, creative workshops, and family-friendly activities. The celebration will feature a cake-cutting ceremony, honouring the Museum’s anniversary.
Duende Flamenco Festival: Vida Al Andalus
November 14–17, 2024
Returning for its 10th edition, this festival highlights the influence of Muslim rule on flamenco, blending musical traditions from North Africa, the Balkans, and Türkiye.

Launching in 2025, this new streaming service will bring the Museum’s events and public programs directly to online audiences through a subscription-based platform.
Updated Website and Learn Feature
A redesigned website, scheduled to launch soon, will provide improved accessibility and a more intuitive user experience. A new educational feature, Learn, will offer online courses, virtual tours, and a wide range of resources for students, teachers, and lifelong learners.
